Weezer (the band) will be covering The Cars (the band) for the soundtrack of Cars 2 (the movie). Set for release with the soundtrack on June 14th, the band will tackle the Cars' 1984 new wave/pop classic "You Might Think." Ric Ocasek, who wrote and sang the original song, also produced Weezer's 1994 debut, Weezer and 2001's Green Album. The Cars have a new album out this year as well, having released Move Like This in 2011, a full 24 years after their previous album and 33 years after their debut.
